The marketingSHOWCASE is a great event to touch base with your industry and learn about any emerging trends and thinking!
Some very clear themes, that won’t surprise many marketers:
– AI overview and LLM search is more important than ever – consumer behaviour has shifted!
– Website traffic is down – but that’s not bad news if your content is picked up on AI Overview.
– Answer first mentality – consumers expect direct, summarised answers to questions. Zero click is the norm!
– Proprietary content is more important than ever and needs to answer the questions or problems your customer ask AI.
– Content needs to balance SEO, AEO but most importantly be relevant to your consumers.
– Product visualisation is key to conversions.
– Personalisation is expected.
For me all these themes concur to my view that:

– AI looks for your brand visibility over a number of marketing platforms. (Linkedin, You tube, Tik Tok, Reddit)
– Driving trust with your target audience and AI is imperative. (a key brand function)
– Brands and messaging need to be consistent to be picked up by humans and AI equally.
– Investing in Brand upfront will pay dividends in the long run
– AI decides which brands get seen
– Brand is therefore a key driver of commercial value!
