There is so much to do afterwards…
As event organisers, our primary role is to plan, manage and execute events, ensuring to have a smooth and successful experience for all. We are responsible for everything from initial planning and budget management, to coordinating logistics and handling on-site strategies and execution, all while adhering to event briefs and budgets.
We spend a lot of time evaluating its success, gathering feedback, engaging with attendees, analysing data, sending post-event surveys, sharing insights and more!
These are examples of what we and other event companies have to do after our events…
First, we evaluate the event’s success
- Analysing data: assessing attendance, engagement, financial performance, along with other key metrics against our pre-set goals
- Collecting feedback: using surveys, feedback forms, and one-on-one meetings with exhibitors, attendees, staff and venue staff
- Internal meetings and debrief: We might discuss moments at the event, how we can identify areas for improvement and how to put those strategies into action
Engaging with attendees and exhibitors
We make sure that we stay very active on social media; we appreciate our visitors and we absolutely love what they have to say during/post event! We also take feedback from our exhibitors very seriously, and try to improve anything we can for them.
Other event companies may:
- Send thank you notes to express gratitude
- Share insights and data to provide takeaways from the event
- Share photos and videos to showcase the event’s highlights (we do this a lot!)
- Create a post-event page for others to engage with each other and share experiences
Improving future events
We always try and do this! These are some ways that event companies can go about improving…
Identifying strengths and areas for improvement: Analysing the data and feedback, to understand what worked well and what could be enhanced and improved.
Developing action plans: Creating strategies for addressing identified issues, and incorporating what we have learned into future events.
What have we learned? Post-event is as important as pre-event! Have you visited our marketingSHOWCASE events yet? Get your free tickets here: https://mktgshowcase.co.uk/
