Best restaurant reservation apps for iOS and android
As part of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme diners across the UK were able to claim 50% off food and drinks at some restaurants during August
But how could you secure your last minute booking? Researchers at Uswitch crunched the numbers to reveal which restaurant reservation apps were a click above the rest.
Taking a seed list of the UK’s most used meal booking apps, the study graded each based on Android and Apple app store reviews to give an overall ranking.

Bookatable – 4.7
Wetherspoons – 4.6
Resy – 4.5
Tripadvisor – 4.5
Fever – 4.4
Zomato – 4.3
BigDish – 4.1
Yelp – 4
Quandoo – 3.9
Looking for a table at one of the top restaurants in your city? OpenTable will help you secure it, even if it is last minute! Scoring 4.8 on the leaderboard, OpenTable was revealed as the best restaurant reservation app.
Shortly followed by Bookatable with 4.7, and Wetherspoons with 4.6 – a popular choice amongst many!
At the bottom of the leaderboard is Quandoo with scoring a poor 3.9 out of the possible 5.
